Are you interested in combining urban gardening and aesthetics? Do you want to develop a prototype that creates a spectacular growing space, works as a support for plants or maybe make hideouts for bugs?
Growing Beauty is a Erasmus+ project in cooperation with Blivande in Stockholm, Sweden. The main aim is to develop urban food production prototypes for both of our locations, Kääntöpöytä in Pasila and Frihamnstorget in Stockholm. These are also documented to serve as inspiration for others!
The call for proposals is open to people in the age range 15-25 years between 1.11-15.12. The 3-5 selected projects are developed further in February-March and built April-August to be exhibited at HarFest in September 2025. The Cofunding page where the proposals will be gathered presents the call in more detail! There you can also read about the proposals as they are made.
During the development, building and exhibition phase there is a possibility for the youth participants to suggest workshops and expert meetups that would help them in the process! At least the workshops during HarFest are open for the public, depending on the type of workshop also the other ones might be made public. The prototypes will be presented on posters at an event in Stockholm and the Swedish prototypes will be presented with posters at HarFest.
Check out the collage that was put together at the project’s kick-off meeting for inspiration!
