Käyttäjä voi valita näkymäksi opaskartan tai ortokuvan ja kieleksi suomen tai englannin. Sovellus on interaktiivinen, siitä voi hakea pisteitä nimellä, lajin mukaan tai karttaselitettä painamalla. 🍎🌳

Kun jokin laji tai viljelmätyyppi on valittu aktiivisesti, sovelluksen oikeaan laitaan tulee myös lyhyesti tietoa lajista tai viljelmätyypistä. Kirjautunut käyttäjä voi lisätä kartalle omia havaintojaan, kuvia kasveista sekä kommentoida muiden lisäämiä pisteitä. 🍎🌳

Projektin tarkoituksena on lisätä ihmisten tietoa mahdollisuuksista osallistua kaupunkiviljelyyn sekä lisätä ruokakasvien vastuullista hyödyntämistä. Projektia on rahoittanut Ruohonjuuri-rahasto. 🍎🌳

Welcome to check out a brand-new browser-based map application showing urban gardens and edible plants in public spaces across the Helsinki metropolitan area! 🍎🌳

Users can choose between a standard map view and an orthophoto, as well as select either Finnish or English as the language. 🍎🌳

When a specific species or garden type is selected, brief information about it appears on the right side of the screen. Logged-in users can add their own observations and plant photos to the map, as well as comment on markers added by others. 🍎🌳

The project aims to raise awareness about opportunities for urban gardening and to encourage the responsible use of edible plants. The project has been funded by the Ruohonjuuri Fund. 🍎🌳

Tommi Kivikko will be presenting the map at the HarFest, Saturday 5th of September from 17-19 on the north terrace of Turntable. Welcome to hear more about the map`s functions and ask questions about the project! 🍎🌳

Tiistaina 4.8. ryhmä Simon Fraser yliopiston kaupunkitutkimuksen opiskelijoita Kanadasta vierailee Kääntöpöydällä. Tervetuloa mukaan talkoilemaan ja laittamaan ruokaa heidän kanssaan! 🌻🍅
