Harfest 2025

HarFest 2025 brings creativity, community, and sustainability to Turntable.

On Saturday, 13th of September, we will have HarFest celebration at Turntable! This year, HarFest is bursting with creativity, green ideas, hands-on joy, and live music ranging from energetic punk to delicate melodies and lyrics! The event offers a diverse program inviting visitors to dive into the themes of sustainable lifestyle—through learning and hands-on experiences.

The event also marks the harvest of the “Growing Beauty” project and highlights the fantastic contributions of young volunteers in developing urban gardening. The prototypes designed and built by youth will be on display at Turntable. The event is free and open to everyone.

Workshops, Exhibitions, and Music

Throughout the day, several workshops will be held at Turntable where you can learn something new and try things yourself:

  • Urban Nuts & Guide Launch (15.00–16.30, in the greenhouse):
Learn about this season’s urban nuts and how to process them for eating! At the same time, the new Small Guide to Urban Farming and Permaculture will be launched—the book will be on display and available for purchase on-site.
  • Super Edibles of the Future (15.00–16.15, at Dodo’s office):
This creative workshop explores visions of food in the cities of the future. Participants will shape imaginative super vegetables and fruits out of clay. Pre-registration required – sign up here.
  • Growing Beauty Exhibition (16.00–18.00, next to the greenhouse):
Discover the prototypes and background stories developed during the project. The project leader will be at the info point to provide more details.
  • Future in Mind (16.30–17.30, at Dodo’s office):
The workshop leads you to discuss empathy and compassion in the eco-crisis and to strengthen these skills. Did you know that compassion can be a source of fierce and powerful defense of what is right and good – not just softness? Welcome to learn about these essential skills for the survival of humanity!
  • EcoSoap Making (16.45–17.45, next to the greenhouse):
Learn how to make ecological soap from recycled cooking oil. Small steps toward a more sustainable everyday life!
  • Flower and Wreath (18.00–20.00, at Dodo’s office):
In this drop-in workshop, create bouquets and wreaths from Turntable’s harvest and seasonal flowers.

Live Music as Evening Falls

The evening will be filled with live music and a DJ:
