What would your dream event look like? Would it involve urban activism, underground culture, board games, avant-garde circus, daytime raves, or perhaps something completely different?
Now is your chance to make that dream a reality!
Instructions below:
1. Gather a group of Helsinki residents under the age of 29.
2. What kind of event do you think the city needs? Develop an event idea together!
3.Boldly and briefly present your idea to us via this form by April 15.
4. One idea will be selected for implementation on Helsinki Day, June 12, 2026. If your idea is chosen, you’ll get to organize a public event that truly reflects your vision, with the help of a Dodo producer, during May and June.
Dodo wants to make it possible to create an event that truly reflects young people’s perspectives, organized by young people themselves. A production team made up of young people will get to organize the event in their own style and put their own ideas into practice. The group will have the opportunity to learn about event production and take on different roles, making their dream event a reality at Dodo’s Kääntöpöytä in Pasila. For the production, they can use Dodo’s professional-grade sound equipment, event spaces, catering kitchen, and other resources that ensure a successful event. The event will be open to everyone and free of charge.
P.S. The group involved in the production will be paid a fee.
The event concept and implementation must be carried out in accordance with Dodo’s values (environmental protection, social and political impact, social and global justice, fairness, playfulness, creativity, a culture of dialogue and experimentation, health, and well-being), as well as Helsinki Day’s responsible practices (https://helsinkipaiva.fi/en/organize-your-event-responsibly ).
