All mixed up in the cultivation box – sustainable gardening

How do you water vegetables? How do you handle weeds? When to harvest? Dodo and Marttaliitto answer your questions in their social media campaign. The campaign focuses on handing out easy gardening instructions and tips, as well as adds to home gardeners’ skill set. The campaign takes place in the social media channels and campaign pages of Marttaliitto and Dodo 7–13 June.

According to earlier research, and during the Covid pandemic, the interest towards gardening and home farming has increased. In addition, the need for gardening guidance has soared. Many beginners want information especially about useful plants and how to garden in environmentally sustainable ways.

By growing useful plants all mixed up, you can get a good harvest even from a small cultivation box. You can reduce food waste by making careful use of the harvest. You can also make watering easier by collecting rainwater and by using row covers. Many weeds are edible, and food can be decorated with flowers. You can increase biodiversity by allowing bugs into your garden.
Pick up our tips for sustainable gardening, get exited about growing your own food, and discover just how much fun and beneficial it can be!
